Default Michelin Sport 4S vs MPSS

I'm curious whether anyone has a road noise comparison between the two?
Thanks

I highly doubt there's anyone out there who has the 4S yet, they just came out. However, given that they are almost the same exact tire, you'll probably notice no difference.

I can tell you that with MPSS I absolutely cannot hear them even with a top down.

Thank you for responding...I did find at least one opinion from a video review in which the guy stated he thought the 4S ride quality was a bit less harsh and quieter. I imagine they are pretty darn close though. I'll probably pull the trigger on the 4S when they become easier to get ahold of. My p-Zero's are too noisy for my taste.

You probably won't have a choice. The PSS won't be available at all soon.

I just ordered 4 new 4S tires from Discount Tire on Friday. They were delivered Saturday. I'm not installing them for another week tho. I'm going to use my PZeros on the track next weekend then I'll swap them out.

I'll let you know my opinion, tho I can't compare them to the PPS.

I had PSS on my X Type. The new PS 4S tires are a bit quiter, but they are light years above the PZeros. I had the PZeros on my XF and just got the PS4S tires put on. The ride is so much softer...and these things hook into the pavement like nothing I have had before. You will absolutely not regret the move to the PS4S's

Thank you for the feedback, very helpful. The the PS4S's sound like the way to go. My F-Type is my daily driver, so tire versatility is a must.

I backed off from ordering from Tire Rack for now because I didn't see a full ship/partial ship option. Don't want them shipping the fronts now and the rears in May.

Pretty sure my tire place isn't cool with storing tires for weeks.

I doing the same thing. I don't want to ship a partial set of tires.

They've been out a few months in Europe. There are a couple of guys on drivetribe who have them on already.

Not sure which way to go. Costco just had a Michelin promo that came out to under$1000 out the door for every thing! Price on PSS is going promo! Are new ones worth maybe $400 more?

If you can get a full set of PSSs for $1000, go for it. The 4Ss will be waiting for you next time.

Ordered PS4S Fronts yesterday from Tirerack and they were delivered to a local Dallas installer this morning. Very quick shipping! I'll have them installed by 10am on Saturday.

I put PSS on the rear last yr due to a slice in the sidewall and only put about 1k miles on them since then.

Glad to be rid of the Pirelli's - never could get the fronts to balance.

Over here, the continental 6S is now available in the correct size and load rating for 20" wheels.

Same price as the MPSS too.

One pays ones money...

Just installed the new Michelin Sport 4S this afternoon on all 4 corners. And what a difference from the P-Zeros. Especially in road noice. I've drive about 30 miles with them, 20 of that on the highway and they are soooooo much quieter. The car seems more planted, but I will need to do some spirited driving to find out.

Nice! Those are my favorite OEM styled wheels.

Mine's still at the shop - Autoscope (Dallas) - it turns out I had an out of round front due to a prior impact so the wheel is out for repair.

Congrats. Good news the road noise vs the P Zeros. Looking forward to getting mine in the near future.

Where in Dallas are you? I'm always looking for fellow F-Type owners for drives or Car and Coffee events.
