I'm running pretty heavy camber on the rear (2.5 degrees with a 1.5" drop) and the MPSSs still lasted 17k miles. Lowering the car will resolve a lot of the roll.

It's *evidence* (double yellow line).

I'd love to run my car that low but I don't think I could get home in it, or leave, if I swapped springs in my driveway. I doubt I could get into the parking lot at work either. It's too bad, because the reduced body roll would significantly improve cornering.

Also my problem with using drop springs (other than my aversion to replacing tires so often). I am running oversize tires and I dont have the clearence in the back. so unless I can roll the fender lip, which I dont think we can do on our cars (I know you cant do it on the F Type, not sure about the XF).

Easily done on the XF, as it has steel fenders not alu like the F-Type.

Well then....looks like I am going to look into some fender rollers. So what springs should I look into?

It doesnt look like I will get the clearance needed by rolling the fender lip. It would be major rework to get the tire inside the fender well. means no drop springs for me

There's a part of Presidio Parkway the heads towards MacArthur Tunnel and Park Presidio in San Francisco that would literally explode the entire front end. There's also a connector between the 85 S and 101 S that would do the same.

But as far as tired, we're not debating anymore, right?

It's the 4S now over the Super Sport, and never the Pirelli. Man those things were like butter, they melted so fast.

I had the Pilot 4S installed this past Friday. They are amazing. Much quieter than the P-Zero and stick well to the ground. I went for stock sizes for my '15 R. The front P-Zero were pretty much bald on the inside tread closest to the car. The other half of the tread was very close to wear marks. I only have 9800 miles on the car, but do canyon carving couple of weekends a month. When I went in for the CEL issue, the dealer mentioned that I need a front-end alignment.

What PSI are you all with 4s setting it to? I currently have it at 36psi, but feel it may be set on the low-side for this tire.

I personally like 38psi in Pilot Super Sports. May be ready for the 4S in the fall.

Related question: when do you all change tires? I have around 6/32" left all around.

On my prev Ferrari 355 PSS, I also did 38psi. I'll do the same on the 4s and see how they feel. Thanks!

There are wear indicators on the tire.. when they reach that point, time to replace. I did mine earlier than expected since I had a nail in one of the fronts and it wasn't fixable. I didn't want to buy another P-Zero, so bit the bullet on a set of 4s.

I'd go with the PSSs again when they go on closeout sale. At $200 each they'd be a great value.

I've found on all of my cars that the tires get noisy before I get down to the wear strips, so I've always changed them prior to that. Does rebalancing ever make a difference after you've gone through most of the tread?

The increase in noise is the result of uneven tread block wear, not due to an imbalance.
