Had Audi's....many audi's...all got very expensive to keep....over engineering should be their motto.....
Mechanic to me with my A4 in for a warranty issue on rear suspension (in about 2000):
"You know, the 5 book hours on your 2000 A4 would be 30 minutes on the 911...they have 11 links in there to do the work the 911 does with 2"......and so it went.
Best,
jb

Hi Randy: No way was I asking for approval from you or any one else !
I was simply pointing out that the new Audi has great performance and more horses than the Jag R.
It was a comment, not a question.

Constantly activate the launch control is really no fun. The 100-200 times were okay, just under 9 seconds. Against my VAP 640 hp R AWD no chance, so really worlds! :-)
At Audi is also not all gold that glitters, I say from Germany :-)
Never been obsessed with Audi's but the Q8's in Peripheral looked fantastic https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C...&bih=929&dpr=1

If it were me, I’d swap the V6 vert for an 18 R coupe and the A7 for a 19 Pace SVR thereby retaining one of the best looking cars of all time but also gaining one of the more interesting SUV’s available. And probably saving quite a bit vs a new RS.
yeah go ahead your car your money , but a tale to be aware off , audi gearboxes are made of chocolate , so go ahead but keep it under warranty , son had an A7 yep it went and so did 5grand of his savings good luck
My experiences with Audi are opposite many here. Most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. I put over 250k miles on an '12 S4 and 14 RS5 and besides oil and brakes I had the right front wheel bearing replaced on the S4. That's it.
I suppose my Toyota Corolla with 300k miles could also count as extremely reliable but the interior looked like crap after 100,000 miles.
Design-wise though I'm not a big fan of the new Audis. They must've gotten together with BMW at an ugly front grill convention.

My apologizes, get what rocks your world. As I tell my kids all the time, you are only here once.
Having owned both... Audi horror stories are like Jaguar horror stories. Most people have one to tell, but most people haven't actually owned one. Don't cut corners with maintenance on either brand and you're unlikely to be adding to the horror stories anytime soon.
