Default Mini Build

Hey guys, just thought I'd create a mini build thread for posterity mostly but also in case if it helps out some others to get some ideas for small stuff they can do to their F Type's to make them pop a little.

The pics here are is stock car and I will post subsequent pics with all the small mods done to it and how it sits currently in a separate post.

Very nice car, but paradoxical rear plate bracket!

Didn't mean for it to take this long for me to post current pics of the car but here is how it sits now. Looks like a stealth bomber and I prefer it significantly more now. No crazy mods, just relatively simple cosmetic touches.

- chrome deleted from windows and front grille,
- chrome emblems removed and replaced with gloss black,
- 20% window tinting all around (minus the windshield, that is just stupid as far as safety is concerned),
- extensive PPF all over,
- gloss black PPF on the front lower lip, side skirts and plan to do the diffuser at the rear as well,
- smoked headlights, tail lights and side mirror signals,
- hood scoops wrapped in gloss black,
- front black plastic trims wrapped in gloss black to tie in the front end.

I believe that's about everything. And yes the Porsche license plate bracket is a bit of a paradox but I had my Porsche dealer bring it in from Jag over for me. I may get around to ordering a Jag one online and replacing at some point. Haha.

A Porsche dealer’s plate frame on the (beautiful) Jaguar is telling the world that you are driving a used car. For many this is irrelevant, but it suggests a number of things to those who notice…hmmmm…a Jaguar turned in to a Porsche dealer: what would that suggest about the Jaguar? (This is not the situation here, but the viewer doesn’t know that).

It takes 3 minutes (max) to remove that license plate frame. I’d have it off in 2 minutes. I know, you don’t care.

That's an interesting take. Surprised to see people think that much into these sort of things. But I am just in general a bit OCD so I am waiting on the Jag license plate to come in at which point I will do the replacement. Funny thing is that I traded my new 911 4S for the R8 before the Jag and then the R8 for the Jag all at my Porsche dealer. Haha. I have good relations with them so they bring in the cars that I want.
