Hi guys, new to the forums and contemplating buying the 5 Litre 404kw model.

I've had a bit of a look here and other places and still can't really get a definitive answer to my questions.

Essentially i'm wondering where the motor comes from, is it a Jaguar built motor from scratch or out of something existing (I may be incorrect but I believe Jag has used Ford engines in the past)

The 5.0L supercharged makes me think Ford's Coyote.

Any info would be extremely helpful.

Both the V6 and V8 are Jaguar designed engines (and not Ford designed), but are built in a specific Jaguar section of a Ford engine plant in Wales, UK. Variants are used by Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin.
