Awesome man, hopefully we run into each other sometime. IF you are ever in Reading, PA shoot me a message. I'm usually buzzing around on weekends

Hi man, this car looks so sweet! I'm having a real tough time trying to decide between Salsa Red and White, especially after seeing this!

I have seen a very similar one to yours:

At a good price which is holding my attention at the moment! Also i like how you have the rear diffuser in red and the skirts still in black which is what il probably do as i don't like the full sports design pack.

But don't worry I'm across the pond in the UK so theres not much chance of passing each other in the same car haha

Salsa Red +1. White looks great but IMO nothing beats a red sports car. Guaranteed to turn 50% more heads

Salsa Red was discontinued on the F-Type at the beginning of the 2016 model year. Caldera Red is the replacement, and is close, but leans more toward the blue direction of the color spectrum.

Congrats. I like the black side skirts and front side wing spoilers in black. Black wheels look great too. Would consider chrome side vents and window trim black?

Edit. Meant to say black side vents to replace chrome.

I'm thinking of wrapping mine in carbon fiber this summer. Too much white IMO--prefer the earlier look. I'm not sure about also wrapping the rear diffuser as well, as that will probably be a PITA if I do this myself

Kief,

Wrapping in carbon fiber would look awesome. If you can wrap the rear diffuser it would definitely be worth it. Look forward to the pics.

Can somebody tell me, have these wheels been painted or can you buy them from jaguar in black? I have seen another Red Ftype R with 10,000 less miles, only difference seems to be the wheels are standard silver gyrodynes instead of black

They are either painted or powder coated. Gyrodynes come in either all silver or "diamond cut" with black highlights.

All black gyros are not available.

Jagbrian had them powder coated by the dealer.

Does powder coating look as good as painted wheels? And do they last as long?

Powder coating is more expensive, less prone to chipping or damage, and, and of course longer-lasting. If it's a good paint job, looks are comparable.

Okay thanks guys, so I'm 99% sure I'm going to go for the the latter one i saw (not pictured) with only 2500 miles on, and maybe get the wheels power coated to black

BTW, getting them chrome bits to match the black pack, is it possible? can the parts be swapped or powder coated like the wheels?

Also what are the standard F Type R seats like on a 2014 model? they are still 'premium seats' aren't they?

There is no such thing as a '14 R model. All '14s were convertibles, and the 3 models were V6 base, V6S, and V8S. The first coupes were 15s, and came in V6 base, V6S, and V8R.
