Default Navigatio Audio

Used my Nav on my 2016 R for the 1st time was pretty easy, like the way part of the route also showed up in the instrument cluster. What I could not figure out was how to turn on and/or raise the volume on the verbal directions. Any help here would be great.

I could be wrong, but I thought the default volume setting could be adjusted in the System Menu. Also, I think you can change the volume by turning the volume up or down while a voice prompt is being given.

I think u have it correct. There's an adjustment hidden somewhere in the menu...or during navigation, when the voice is saying something, use the volume knob...

Thanks all I may have a problem as have tried all of the above and re-read the manual and can't get any verbal commands.

I can confirm this. When you have a route created, just keep hitting the little speaker icon at the top and it will say the next step again and again each time. When it does, you can raise the volume to your desired level. It will stay there until you mess with the volume again when nav is actively "talking".

Make sure you don't simply have the turn by turn audio disabled. (I do)

Not in the car at the moment, but it can be completely disabled, and increasing the volume will of course, do nothing!

This^^^
From the navigation map screen, press the Nav Menu button, there should be a button on the next screen that says Route Voice Guidance. It will have a red line thru it if deactivated. No red line if activated.

Also, from the Main Menu home screen, press the Setup button on the left, press the System button, then the Volume Presets button and be sure the volume on the navigation slide bar is set some number of points higher, relative to the other audio functions that it may need to over ride.
