You might find more support if you stick to the first and third points and skip the second. Just because it's not suited to your desires does not make it crappy. People will be more inclined to be helpful if you don't come out of the gate with adversarial statements that frankly come across as trolling.

You do you brother. When I see someone even hint they want big power from this platform you'll find me putting my 2 cents in to stick with the platform. I certainly understand liking what is different, it's a large reason why I have an XF instead of a CTS-V or something similar. Never my intention to take that away from anybody. My 1st XF was SO good that I bought a second one with the intention of doing big things because you just don't see it out there tearing up the strip. It's unfortunate you think the AJ is a bad engine when it isn't. I won't for a second sit here and pretend like it's perfect, we all know that isn't the case. The reason you don't see it in the 9s is for this exact reason. It was the same in the early days of the platform. No one thought it was possible to get into the 10s and now Ricky is out here knocking on the doors of a 9. Like any engine out there all that is needed people who will push the envelope. Take a look at what the guys are doing lately with the Vortec 4200 engine. Calling it the new American 2JZ and it's out there killing it. I'm grateful on what small aftermarket there is, but the platform needs more maniacs to realize its true potential. I guess everyone is just scared, of what...I'll never know. Ricky is out here killin it.

People told Ricky he was delusional too and that you can't make more power than what is available in the small aftermarket there is. He proved that wrong. To my knowledge the car he ran 10.2 in is stock engine not built. The mods he made are bolt-ons. There are no internal performance engine mods for the platform besides some studs...and it's criminal. It's one of the reasons that Ricky resorted to using Honda head studs in his drag car engine LMAO. Man's a maniac and it's fantastic. There just isn't a market for BIG power. The F-Type can lose a lot of weight as well. He has shown that the engine is more than capable. Even the 6 speed ZF is perfectly capable of putting down the power, let alone what the 8 can do.

In any case, anything that anyone does to these cars is cool. Even if it is a dime a dozen LS swap. I love this platform as much as I love talkin ****. It's just my two cents as I said. They are such underrated gems in the performance world that it's criminal. If you eventually do a swap of some kind be sure to report back. Best of luck.

I’ve actually received a ton of support from those who are knowledgeable in this. It’s only critics who feel the need to give their two cents on something they don’t know about who get the “adversarial statements” so if you aren’t trying to be helpful what’s the point on criticizing someone. I think the AJ series is crappy that’s my opinion and I want to swap it for something I feel is a better motor. I didn’t ask for others opinion if I should do it which I thought was clear by the initial post.

I get it you love your Jags I respect that but I don’t care about Jags I bought the F-type for looks not performance cus I knew they are super limited in what you can do to them performance wise. Plus when have you ever heard someone say I want to do a motor swap with a AJ series engine NEVER lol there’s a reason why, Ricky is a rare situation plus the amount of work put into that car is ridiculous, is it possible with a lot of work & money sure it’s possible but how long will that motor last cus these motors & trans can’t handle 1k HP & TQ… I’ve done the research & followed all the guys who have built these motors and the ones who have successfully swapped them, it cost the same almost & I rather swap it & know I can easily get 1k HP & TQ without touching the bottom end of the motor. I’m very aware of what I’m attempting to tackle & I rather swap it then build it just to blow it up later like Ricky did his… XE is totally different then the F-Type so I think you are basing solely on your experience with the XE/XF those cars are easier to build then the F-Type just go ask any owner.

I suppose it's possible you might have found a way to more completely miss my point, but it's not coming to mind. Good luck with your project.

So you have a race car that can't be driven on the street?
Will this be a track car like the picture you posted?

depending on which motor I go with & the amount of aftermarket support that’s available, my goal is for it to remain street legal since it’s very possible just costly which I can live with. I was searching for the dimensions which I have now so now I know which route to go engine wise…

Damn! Good Luck with it. And don't put to much stock in all the crap talk, as they gave me similar crap when I told them I was I was following Cousin Carroll's lead and sticking a 460 Ford in a XJS. = "Jacobra". Yeah, and they also told me why not put a Chevy in it? Cause my name is "Shelby" and we do things a little different.
