Aloha from Hawaii!
I bought a MY2020 F-Type P340 in late 2022 and have learned an incredible amount about these cars from this forum. Finally decided to sign up and will attempt to contribute whenever possible. I have always enjoyed working on cars and worked in autobody shops from high school through graduate school and even after I began my professional career. Cars I have had include: 1970 Fiat 850 Spider and later 124 Sport Coupe; '68 Mustang; '70 Chevelle SS454; 2005 Infiniti G35 and '17 Q50 Red Sport 400; 1991 Jaguar Sovereign and '99 XJ8. I still have my 1990 Nissan 300ZX that I bought in 1990. Now retired and armed with my QuickJack and an air conditioned garage, I can work on our cars even during warm Hawaiian summer days. I am looking forward to interacting with all of you as we work to keep these wonderful F-Types in great running order.

Default Intro pt.2

Bit more re. the F-Type: P340 coupe in Carpathian gray; 20" Tornado wheels; inside and outside black packs; extended leather; 24k miles when purchased, about 29k now; replaced 1,200 mile P-Zeros with Pilot Sport 4S (love these tires and have them on the 300ZX as well); replaced OEM brake pads with Brembo ceramics (performing well). Obtained a second key fob and two physical keys (not from JLR dealer).

Just replaced the driver (left) side headlight assembly because of the dreaded dimming DRL issue.

I enjoy working on this car almost as much as driving it and looking at it.

Re. past cars, also had two Fiat X/19s. Great handling and fun despite needing more hp.

Welcome. Your past car list is very similar to mine. I've had two 1975 Fiat 124 Spyder's, 1986 300 ZX over the years. Got my 2023 F-type R last March.

Retired also, but not as supple as I used to be to crawl around and under cars to do stuff on my own. Even though I built hot rods from scratch and restored sports cars 40-50 yr ago !!

Thank you for the welcome, jdsengineer. Like you, I used to do some heavier lifting in years past. A couple of my cars were total loss insurance write-offs that required the use of frame machines to resurrect. Nope, not anymore!
