Default New Wheels and Springs Installed

Hey all.

Just wanted to post a quick follow-up. Finally had the new shoes and springs installed yesterday.

HRE P104's in Satin Bronze
H&R Springs with 1.3" drop

The ride quality on the springs feels perfect to me. I have some painted items coming to finish off the exterior and will post the final pictures. Still looking for a good, quality tune.

Cheers!

Looks good!

But I'd really appreciate some "real world" (e.g. not heavily photoshopped) photos if you have them, or whenever you get around to it.

I like the style.

Definitely in the running for best F Type on this forum and probably in the world. Amazing how a drop and wheels can really transform the car! Love to see some non pro photos too.

Here are some pics I took this morning. I'll get some in direct sunlight too.

Thanks, the natural photos give me a much better idea along with the quartering shots.

It looks phenomenal and has a killer stance. HRE also got the offsets exactly right too!

Well played sir... HRE got the offsets right and you have the proper H&R springs (vs what I got back in July). I like your normal shots better as well; TAG loves their processed shots though as evident in the Porsche and Audi forums. Alex is a good guy.

Absolutely Outstanding!!!
Can you share with us what wheel sizes you ended up with, as well the offsets front and rear?

Where did you purchase the springs?

Thanks everyone!

Here is another photo. A bit of sunlight on the wheels. I'll get the offset info posted in a bit.

Thanks much for the offsets. Did you go with a larger tire size since the OEM 20" wheels are 9" and 10.5"?

WOW! Looks great. I have the same car and color and was thinking about the HRE P101s. After seeing yours I think I am leaning toward the P104s. After the 1.3" spring drop and the Front 20mm-Rear 22mm wider stance did you have to have it realligned?

What exterior parts are you painting? Looking forward to seeing final pics.

We did not go to a larger tire. The OEM's fit fine.

Yes. We had to do a re-alignment.

You did everything right.

An alignment is always necessary after any suspension height change from OEM, which changes the suspension geometry. Some don't do it, but that will likely cause uneven tire wear and possibly compromise handling to some extent.

Yes, the the OEM tire sizes are definitely within approved specs for the extra half inch on your HREs, but many have talked about going to 305s on the rear. I was just wondering if you went that direction. However, 10mm of extra tire width results in a pretty minimal increase in the contact patch.
