Default No More Water Spots :-)

I'm stubborn to say the least. "I'm not going to spend $$ on one of those dang resin spotless water systems"! I would say. Well...I bought one of them dang CR spotless water systems and man...I'm a happy camper. Easy as pie, hooked it up to a pressure washer, had a couple small buckets, one with Optimum No Rinse wash....you know, the usually drill, and an air blaster dryer. Besides the car looking better than ever afterwards, zero hard water spots anywhere....in the sun no less. I'm cutting down the preparation, washing, and cleanup steps so that the process is streamlined, which means I'll be more likely to do the deed. There are those days when I appreciate the Zen of washing and don't care how long it takes, but there are other times I want to "get er done". Anyway, glad I finally wen this route.

I got one of these for my son for Christmas and he loves it.

As a note - it's also available on Amazon. The price a year ago was $199, but went up to $250 mid-year. Approaching year-end, they dropped it back to $199 for a while. Currently, it's $230 with free shipping.

Yes...I ordered from amazon. Always a good idea to shop around. The company's website has a great deal on new resin, a resin exchange program where they ship you a new canister, and supply a pre-paid fed ex box to return the old one....which equates to a better refill price.

Have one and love it. I have put my car away soaking wet before and in the morning it still had nary a spot.

If you do get stubborn water spots and think you'll be stuck polishing to remove them, give CarPro Spotless a try. The stuff is amazing. Removed some spots from the winter that I was certain would have to be rotary polished.

Never polished out water spots, just dab or sponge on some white wine vinegar, go have a brew, come back and hey presto...all gone!

Ordered mine though Costco about a year ago, it is the large one with 2 canisters and came with 2 bags of additional resin. Last time I looked Costco didn't include the additional resin refill unfortunately.

It is really the only way to go for speed and like the OP said no water spots. I use with my pressure washer, but only for the rinse, that way resin will last much longer. I use all the time and have not had to replace the resin yet. It's expensive, but once you get, you will not want to go back. Also your cars finish will stay nice, because you don't need to use any drying towels if you use a master blaster, other than in the door jambs etc.

Worth getting if you go with Opti-Coat or 9H? Doesn't that bead off anyway?

Of course I know it costs an arm and a leg though.

I'm cheap so I use my PPF installer's solution. 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water, spots come with a little spray and a microfibre cloth.

I now go over the whole car with this after drying it, only takes a few mins.

Never had Opti-Coat, so I couldn't say. But with 5 cars it is a life saver. I used on one of my Black cars when I first got it in the HOT sun then just walked away, as a test. I came back about an hour later and no water spots at all, was amazing because the water in CA has a lot of dissolved minerals.

I agree. My water here in southern Calif will leave major spots. Even small droplets that I miss or can't get to in time would be a major hassle. The filter takes all the stress out that equation. Even with a blow dry, there would be drips and streaks from runoff after the fact. No more :-)

I am pretty sure a while back WOOT had this system w/ $5 shipping for about $150.

It may have been refurbished though. If I see it again will post here.
