Default No-profile tires

I have a 2024 Audi RS6 which came with 285/30s -- and I've lost four tires already due to potholes and "raised structures" during construction. I'm close to buying a 2016 F-Type R, but I see they wear EVEN LOWER profiles on the rear. Has anyone looked into getting tires with more sidewall? What did you find out?

If you want an R, I think the 19" rims (stock) will barely fit over the R brakes. That will get you 40/35 profile rims and keep you at the stock diameter. If you go for a V6 car with the smaller brakes you can go with the smaller rims and even more sidewall.

The 19" wheels fit over the Super Performance brakes that came on the R. That's how I ordered my car. There's not a lot of room between the caliper and the inside of the barrel, but that's only a hindrance when washing.

The stock R tire size, 295/30/20, is not lower profile than 285/30s

The standard tire sizes for the 19" rims are:

245/40ZR19
275/35ZR19

These are narrower than standard R tires, but do have a little more sidewall. There were 18s available too, but I don't think they'd fit over the Super Performance brakes that can standard on the R.

Your'e right. The fronts are actually 35s; rears are 30 (same as my RS6) -- at least on the one I'm going to buy.

Not the same if your RS6 is 285 - the 30 denotes the percentage of the width as the height of the sidewall, so a 295 wide tyre has a slightly higher sidewall.
