1) That is not my garage but the soon-to-be moved (to a stunning much bigger space) Auto Innovations in Scarborough who are Maine’s premier PPF and tint company. Owned and operated by two very close friends.
2) I did recently renovate my garage which I must say is the nicest garage I’ve ever been in or even seen. Jay Leno who?

Cheers!

@Prhii and I went to Cars & Coffee this morning at the splendid Maine Classic Car Museum in Arundel Maine and hobnobbed with plenty of like-minded gearheads. Fantastic place and on our itinerary for an upcoming impromptu gathering. Stay tuned….

Nice pictures!

I chuckled to myself after seeing all those cars hugging the shady spots.

Don't the owners JUST KNOW that the birds are always on the lookout for shiny sheet metal?????

;-0

Yeah, they were smart to hug those shady spot. My F-type R, along with some Aston Martin buddies of mine, were baking in the scorching sun that day. It got pretty darn hot for sure.

That aside, definitely a great event. I plan to attend that every year.

This happened on the way to dinner at our Maine F-type event…

After 12.5 years and 100,000 miles, I believe I’m on my…
5th set of tires
2nd set of brakes (!)
3rd set of wiper blades
Original headlamp on 1 side, 2nd on other side
3rd set of spark plugs (I think, without looking it up)
2nd S/C coupler, may be due for another (need to change SC fluid)
2nd set of tire goo (first got old)
Diff and transmission fluids each changed once so far
3 brake flushes (I think)
Etc. etc.

Congrats Dave, you have reached F-Type legendary status! I was impressed on Friday evening when you showed me the odometer and you were around 99950.

According to the owner’s manual, you have only changed the oil 12 times right? 😃 It it a V6? Let’s see a pic of that Windsor leather driver seat, please. 🤔

Yes, I change the oil once per year, and average around 8000 miles a year - and I’m fine with that.

I dealt with a bit of sticky interior surfaces during the pandemic, but much of the interior currently feels like duct tape. I would not brag about the cleanliness of the interior. Not bad, but not clean either.

There is a first edition online that has been GARAGED with only a thousand miles on it and it has sticky switches so it must be a natural breakdown of cheap plastic.

Thats great oil management! Did you keep it topped off regularly? And how is the wear on that driver’s seat???

I’ve never had to top it off, it doesn’t burn oil. I may have been down half a quart once. Driver’s seat isn’t bad, though I really should clean and condition it.

My car turned 100,000 on the way to dinner here…

We love Cook’s Lobster & Ale house not just for the food, drink and nice folks, but also the drive getting there.

Default Approaching 150k…

I am a few hundred miles from 150,000 in my X-type!
Replaced:

Transfer Case
6 coil packs
radiator
2 water pump
1 fuel pump
parking brake
windshield
headliner
etc,,
Still a great daily driver, it’s a manual so it is fun to drive and it has tons of space and it still turns heads; hopefully the F-type will achieve the same with less repairs.
