Default "Clowder of Cats Concours"

I just wanted to share some photos from the "Clowder of Cats Concours" in Telluride CO event that I organized last month to celebrate Jaguar's 90th anniversary. We had Jaguars from Arizona, New Mexico, Monterey, the Bay Area, Washington State, Florida, Oregon, Oklahoma and members from our Rocky Mountain Jaguar Club. The weather was perfect and it was fun meeting new Jaguar owners!

After a week driving on filthy roads, it's all clean and tidy again inside and out.

Here’s my October 2019 R AWD 575, bought in August from Stratford Upon Avon (Shakespeare’s birthplace for those over the pond) and now happily at home here in Sheffield UK. It was registered by Jag in early October 19 but us an MY21 facelift- the facelift was launched in December 19 and cars were delivered from early 2021 alongside old stock run out V6s and SVRs which had been discontinued (at least in the UK). When I bought it it was just coming up to 6 years old with 12k on the clock. Awesome

Awesome! Hope to cross paths with you around Snake Pass or Holme Moss when the weather improves. I like to get lost around the area on my way to Huddersfield from work. 👍

Too bad that the once great Commonwealth of Virginia requires a front tag. They basically serve no function except to ruin an otherwise beautiful of view.

Most states within the U.S. (Canada?) require front license plates. And new car dealers within those states generally affix front license plate brackets before vehicles are offered for sale. The choice then becomes which is uglier: the license plate; or, bare license plate bracket. However, I have been able to buy a new vehicle or two in Virginia before a dealer has affixed the front license plate bracket. I've also purchased a few used vehicles in Pennsylvania where a front license plate isn't required. But, if it means so much to people, just remove the front license plate bracket and pop in a plastic plug or round piece of tape where the holes are. On a black car, the tape or plugs are barely noticeable and no worse than looking at the parking sensors. I'm sure that tape and plugs of the same color as the car can by found or made using touch-up paint.

I agree, even though my 16 convertible front bumper had no holes in it I couldn't stand the bumper itself so I retrofit mine with a aftermarket p7 grill.

Also snagged a decent vanity plate

That works. A bit more expensive to replace the entire grill but that works.

Vienna, 1-mile off VA-7 when I'm there.

I'm out in Waterford. Have seen a few FTs around, but overall pretty rare in DC area.

Nice. Country but not that far from conveniences.

Every once in a while I see a dark silver/gray P300 drive by but that's about it. Maybe, one day the driver will stop by to chat.

Before delivery of my custom ordered 2022 P450 the dealership contacted me and asked if I wanted the front license plate mounting hardware removed; I was told that removing it would be permanent since removing it basically destroyed it. I didn't question what was told to me but I said please proceed with the elimination and there are no traces that it ever existed. Good riddance to bad rubbish as the Brits would say.

Here in Ontario we are required to to have plates front and back (Dumb, I know). I have had the front mounting unit completely off the car’s front grill and put back on. There was nothing about it that was destructive to the car or the mounting unit itself. I’m talking about the Jaguar part that came with the car.
