My F-type is now stored for the winter, but I had some pictures taken in the low autumn sun a few weeks back. Looking forward to spring:

Nice pics! (Proper car color as well.)

In some of the shots it almost looks like the photo is tilt-shifted.

Very good foliage year here in MA. Shot this on the commute to work this morning. Overexposed it a bit to get the Salsa Red to pop a bit.

wow great colors. Having grown up on the Cape, I miss the real Maple trees and the birches now that I am down here in PA.

Here is a local view.

Thanks for posting the pic, I think it has sold me on BRG vs black! Actually I just came here to post BRG vs? and MT vs AT, any second thoughts on either decision? I am trying to grab as many MT cars as I can afford before they don't make them anymore!

Apache - here's mine...

Must say I wasn't looking for Black. Was thinking white, IRC or blue... But, the BRG is simply breathtaking - especially in person. When the sun shines on it, well, let's just say I haven't found a picture yet (including my own) that can capture it. The sparkles are simply stunning.

Now, at a distance when it's cloudy? I've had asked, "Who owns the black Jag?". I just smile.

After I ordered the BRG, I had buyers remorse a bit. I had seen a BRG in person a couple of months earlier. But, I was leaning toward the other colors mentioned when my family basically said they would kill me if I didn't get the traditional BRG for a Jag (although we all know there is too much black pigment for true BRG). I actually had my dealer get mine from a dealer where I had seen it on-line. Was was worried I had made the wrong decision as it was being transported.

Then.... it arrived.

Did I mention it is stunning? lol

This car will look stunning in any color. BRG in the sun takes the car to a different place, IMHO. Unfortunately, I live in PA, not CA like you do. It's cloudy a lot. But, I can only imagine what a CA based BRG will do for the soul!

You have my vote!

Traded my 2015 Base Coupe for a 2016 R Coupe a couple weeks ago. Finally got around to taking a few pics. The color is Storm Grey. Very close to my previous Stratus Grey, but a shade lighter and more reflective.

Thanks Arne.

There is a big difference between the Base and the R... with the adaptive dynamics, torque vectoring, EPAS, AWD, and ELSD it's is like driving a different car. The V6 was quick and fun, but this thing is a beast!

I keep trying not to think about it and pretend that the R is a death trap to make me stop questioning the base manual convertible that I got! LOL 3000 miles in a few months, and I can't imagine driving an automatic in this thing.

I had thought the gears were ripped up on the 8cyl so they couldn't do a manual on the R, but my dealer guy just said they might be making one. I find that hard to believe, but we'll see. And I'll buy it. LOL

Did you have the AT or MT in your base coupe? Also now that you have experienced both the base and the R, I know the R has crazy horsepower but if you never drove an R did you feel the base was quick enough for the real world roads full of hazards and LEO' everywhere, at least it is that way in Cali. I was pretty much sold on the S but given the price difference and the fact that it is a V8 in a Jaguar and just knowing it is almost as fast as a 911 turbo S (not slamming the Porsche) for almost half the money?

Actually I would be happy with the base with the bigger performance brakes offered on the S and R. It's a tough choice also because I can get the S with a MT, who knows how much longer it will be available in the future, they seem to be phasing them out of production. But then again the R is a sleeper and with the AT it will grab the best gear within milliseconds, enough to surprise the occasional vette, modified mustang etc when the road is clear.

I think this description is both succinct and accurate.

I chose "quick and fun" after living with too many "beasts" in the past. That doesn't mean another one won't find a way to seduce me at some point in the future.

My Base Coupe was an AT and while it may not have been the fastest car on the road it was plenty quick, sounded great and was a blast to drive. To your comment on the brakes... they were phenomenal on the base. Dare I say, I think the V6 engages the driver a little more because it lacks some of the driving dynamics of the V8. In the V8 everything just seems effortless... point it and go. This was mentioned in a lot of reviews and now having driven both for a period of time, I get what they were saying.

It's just "different"... it's almost as though the V6 is the purists sports car and the V8 is a taught, refined muscle car... I have never driven an "S", but assume with it's added HP and some of the dynamics of the "R" it offers a little of both worlds.

In the end it's up to the individual to figure out what's motivating their purchase decision and what they want out of the car. Either way it's great that Jaguar offers the different experiences across the model range instead of being single sighted like some other manufacturers.
