Talking Closed mountain road club day

Hi ... this is a video taken from a club event we did last year, where my car club hired a 12 km mountain road outside Melbourne last year, closed it for the day and let us run wild. Unfortunately, because I was using an externally mounted GoPro. the wind noise just destroyed the exhaust sound, so I overlaid some music instead. (Oh, for reference, the top speed I got the F Type R up to on this road was 182kmh.)

Cheers,
Oz

PS. Yes, as you can see, it was a little damp that day - made it "interesting"!

Awesome video, Mate...

I would kill to have some of the winding and hilly roads of Chester and Lancaster County, PA closed for such a circuit here in the US.

But, of course, as Mbourne can attest after a drive through the countryside with me back in the fall - I probably would BE killed because of my aggressive driving nature... lol

LOL. Flinger you were a pro and it was a fun ride. Great video from Oz but I must admit I'd rather be on a closed course surrounded by Amish farm fields as opposed to trees as my RWD vert likes to flirt with the edges. Farm dirt and horse manure clean off a lot easier than tree bark!

Oz nicely done.

Visiting mom, they traded their XF into XKR two days after I bought mine .... something about kids having faster cars than their parents.

Brother - I love that blue with those wheels. So many great choices - it was hard to choose one. I went with BRG, but Blue was definitely in the hunt!

Very nice. Congrats.

Given (assumed) relative demographics, your parents may be cooler than you are.

Is that Caldera? Doesn't quite look like IRR or the discontinued Salsa, though pictures are very deceiving.

My strong bet would be IRR, but I am curious to the answere.

If I recall correctly, IRR in 2016 is no longer a Xiyrallic paint, and appears as a different shade from earlier years depending upon the light, although it's still a metallic. Caldera is a solid paint.

Very nice! Was checking into a hotel in Virginia outside of DC last night and was pleased to see an FTYPE outside of captivity in the parking garage. Of course I didn't have mine with me...darn but was nice to see anyway. I believe it was from New Jersey.

Gotta love it!

Took the long way to the office today, lovely sunny day which is great for driving but desperate for rain.
