Dealer/supplier license plate frames on cars have to go away. If you are not being paid to advertise for a dealer. Worse yet are dealer stickers on the rear, etc. No frame is better, or better yet a basic $12 aluminum frame off Amazon. A "Jaquar" frame isn't really optimal when it says Jaguar on the back of the car.

Just a pet peeve, sorry - hate those. Offenders back a few pages lol.

Another observation - why are there so few Salsa Rs? I know most prefer IRR, but the Salsa is also beautiful, especially at night. Anyone have Salsa F-type pics to share? After all, the man fought for Salsa http://wardsauto.com/industry/jaguar...save-salsa-red

Burt agree on the license plate frame. The $9 slim black frame on Amazon looks great even on the front if your state requires one.

As far as Salsa Red is concerned we have a V8s and I'm under the impression CHA (Salsa Red) was discontinused a while back and replaced with Caldera Red.

I requested that my dealer not attach their logo - not sure if they would have. Haven't gotten around to replacing the license plate frame.

I have a few Salsa pix on p. 2 of this thread. Yes, Salsa was replaced by Caldera for MY 16, I think it was.

For a lot of pix with Salsa, check out the Lobster Run thread, starting with p. 8. And post #176 in that thread has a link (towards the end) to my Dropbox folder with all my pix. Strangely, I took a lot of pictures of my car.

+1. I am in full agreement. However, I made an exception in this case:

However, you are not properly "Treasuring the Chesapeake."

Sorry. I hate those too and have since had it removed now that the real tags came in. I only got three days with the car before I had to leave the country. Spent all that time driving it not looking at the plate.

Agreed. I immediately removed the dealer license plate frame from the car. No other dealership logos on car either. Yes Salsa was discontinued half way through the 2016 builds. My 2016 Salsa red was one of the last ones =)

I've always instructed the dealer to not apply advertising

One dealer still managed to forget and when it came to arranging the car payment, I also asked him how he wanted to pay for the advertising space ..... The blank look said it all ...

Too true. When I find a machinist in the area, I'll have him/her mill out that bottom section leaving the same border as the sides.

When I picked mine up, the dealer had already applied the logo. When I got home I popped it off. On my wife's car the Benz dealer used a license plate bracket on the rear. I've since given it back to them, but at least with the frame approach there is no lasting damage.

Yes, of course, one of the best parts of the car and my favorite interior of any car period! No attempted back seat BS, seats are comfy and wrap perfectly with adjustable bolsters all around, suede upper and a really fitted and tight feel all around. Went with white piping to not overload on blue.

Default Had to make some updates

When I first got my F-Type, I could go months and never see one. Now, I have another F-Type identical to mine in the neighborhood I live in and several others that I see around town are very similar. Can't have that. Also, while the silver side vents and silver Tornado wheels looked good, I wanted something that looked a bit more aggressive. At least that was my thinking.

Changes include black side vents, gray Storm wheels, black growler center caps and Michelin Pilot Super Sports (to replace the Pirelli) rounding things out. (Will try and redo the photo some point soon.)

By the way, for anyone looking to replace their side vents, put tape under the vent to protect the paint, pop the hood, open the door all the way, get a grip on the edge of the vent and pull hard. Popped both off with only one tab breaking.

Wow, I have only seen one F-Type R in Chicago, once. Probably more of a warm weather car, anyway! Very unique; and I love those rims.

Agreed, blackberry is awesome.

Don't like black wheels on a black car, but those grey wheels look terrific.
