One thing I've noticed since beginning to research these cars is that there is not a lot of tracking in regards to production numbers, how many of a specific spec or color combo, or even coupe vs convertible are out there. JLRUSA even said they don't have the numbers.
So, What I've seen done before that I think could be really helpful is to start an official V8R registry thread. Owners of other models are welcome to start their own, but I'd like to keep this specific to the V8R cars.
The way this typically works is the information posted is in a given format and we keep a running tally of the vehicles as time goes on. I've seen many estimates that it's under 1000 for MY2015, and obviously they won't all be members here, but it would be cool to see how many others there are out there. VINWIKI has 31 records of 2015 F-Type R's for example, with VINs so maybe we can get some accurate counts.
I'll start with my car as the first reply to this for format reference.
2015 V8R, BRG over Camel/Black interior. VIN SAJWA6DA8FMK15481. Carbon Ceramics, Vision Pack 3, illuminated sills, power hatch, grey morzine headliner. 20" Storm wheels as part of the Carbon Ceramic option.
Vision Pack 3 apparently is Front Parking Sensors, Reverse camera, reverse traffic detection, and blind spot monitor in addition to the included rear parking sensors.

If someone were to put in the effort you could compile the entire list by going through the VINs sequentially on Topix. Every single option and accessory is listed as well.

well...this hasn't quite gone how i thought...apparently I can't edit the original post to keep the list up!
The ability to edit expires after a day or two. Best way to do it is to keep a tally on a spreadsheet, and print to a PDF each time you update it. You can then attach the PDF to a post as it's updated.
