Default Oh the drama

Okay, I fully get it now. I had only briefly put my car into manual shift sport mode or whatever once closer to when I first got it. It led to my slightly over revving the car once early on (nowhere near redline so not a big deal) due to a bit of unfamiliarity etc, so I decided to avoid using it just to be on the safer side for the first 1000km. I got a little more adventurous today. Oh my, what a tremendous difference that makes for the exhaust drama. The difference is large.

What a beautiful thing with all the burbles, pops, general better noise, better downshift drama etc...I'm like, okay, this is why people buy this car...lol...I knew it was gonna be awesome from my research, videos etc, but wow...There's nothing like experiencing this first hand. I mean, because I'm breaking the car in I'm not driving the car hard at all really, and it still sounds so nice in this mode. The break-in was getting a bit painful. This will make it far less boring. Thank god for that ;-)

People on here and other places keep saying how much more crazy the original car was compared to this later variant of the car like I have. It must be pretty crazy, because what I'm experiencing here is incredible to me. More than enough...I say this now, you watch, I'll be getting a tune in a year...lol...It is intoxicating, and it made me wanna just keep driving and driving.

I'm in love all over again.

With the looks and the sound of these vehicles it is crazy to me that more of them are not sold. It's an incredible package. Really and truly. I feel like I've gotten a new car again just a few weeks later or something...lol...

Wait til you do a brisk acceleration run using the paddles to shift without lifting (doesn't need to be floored, either). It produces a ridiculously intoxicating snort at each gearshift.

Yeah, and it punches you in the back pretty hard too from what I gather, eh?

What a serious piece of engineering these car are. The nay sayers can say what they want. I really believe anyone giving this car a chance will fall in love.

Takes me back to driving in my buddy's 992 911 (I wasn't driving). Great car, but I remember thinking: Wow, this just aint doing it for me. This here, wow, it is doing it. I guess it depends on what someone is looking for, but in the context of my wants and desires I just don't see how someone could find the 992 more desirable. I really am not programmed to understand it I guess. No doubt it handles better, but the handling on these new F-types is nothing to sneeze at either from what I can tell so far. For the street this car seems to bring an excellent balance between comfort and handling. I remember hearing in some reviews the ride being called harsh. I don't get it at all. This car is comfortable for GT duty. The 992 is far more harsh in my view.

I was close to pulling the trigger on a 992, but in the end the draw/interest in this car would not let my brain do it ;-) The poster on my wall as a younger fella was beckoning 911, but things have changed a lot with those cars since that time. I do love the timeless design and precision of them, no doubt, but there are other things to consider in a purchase like this. As it turns out ;-)

Yeah. When I asked my grandson if he wanted to hear my car fart, he busted out in laughter. Then I proved it.
He's now approaching driving age and being REALLY nice.
