My 2017 V-6 spent the winter at the dealer one year, for some warranty work. All that turned out OK, but bringing the car home, The CheckEngineLight came on and 'reduced performance" . Dealer said bring it right back. They ran all the diagnostics and said it was most likely the 'old' gas... maybe 4 months old. Their feeling was that these cars are incredibly sensitive, even with the 91 no Ethanol that I ALWAYS use. A fresh tank cleared all the symptoms. I run a bottle of Redline in about every 3 tanks. Had the dealer do the direct injection clean at about 38,000 miles.
Interesting to read about SeaFoam. We use that in all our small engine lawn/garden trimmers/mowers along with some carb cleaner... just a dash of each about every 2 tanks seems to keep them healthy.
I keep the tires at recommended pressure, but the car is stored in an insulated and heated garage, perhaps that makes a difference.

Life would be so much easier if we didn't have to put up with winter...

Thanks for the reminder, I forgot to let some air out this spring.

There are some latitudes that can oblige.

You don't check your tyre pressures before each drive? Okay, I'm OCD. But it only takes a few button presses.

I could press buttons forever and a day on my 2014 and never get a pressure reading. If they get too low, a yellow light come on.

People can talk about "lot rot" all they want, but it's just a way for commentators to feel important and make you worry about nothing. Cars have always sat waiting for someone to buy them, there wasn't this magical time 20 years ago when the Toyota production line just sat there doing nothing until you put in an order... they're pumped out of the factory on a schedule and they sell when they sell, that's business. It really isn't worth worrying about especially on your current vehicle, a new car isn't going to immediately disintegrate after sitting on the lot for three or six months and all new vehicles have a first service after 1000km or 5000km or whatever which will freshen it up anyway.

Wait until you find out how long apples are stored before they're sold at the supermarket in the off season! lol
