Maybe a very small amount but honestly just about any car will have residual, the new oil will dilute and the new filter should deal with anything significant left over. So much faster for us guys without a lift.

Shall we discuss what brand of oil is the best? (just kidding!)
It boggles the mind why someone would want to take it from the bottom, unless they are too cheap to buy an extractor. If done properly you will get the same amount of oil out from the top (Make sure the filter is rolled off before drain etc). Basically, and any difference at that point in terms of amount of oil drained would fall into the amount that is inevitably not coming out for either method. To get the absolute max from the top you can drain, wait a bit longer and drain some more, and maybe even wait a bit longer and drain a final time to see if anything else is coming out sorta thing...

Jaguar doesn't do everything right but their setup for doing oil changes was certainly the one thing they did get right on their cars. Now if they could just make sure their "Techs" are trained to not over fill that would be another opportunity for them to get something right. Something tells me they won't be taking that opportunity, particular given their car selling future of "maintenance free" EVs and the like ;-)

Like buying tires. WHY do the stores ALWAYS fill all tires to 35 PSI???? They have to open the drivers door anyway...that is where the recommended tire pressure sticker are displayed.

"Trust, but verify" is the phrase to live by. I always check torque on my wheel nuts myself, too.

To be honest I think the phrase to live by is just "Verify"...lol...Trust need not apply a lot of the time these days, especially with Jaguar dealerships it would seem ;-)
