Default oil overfill? Question

Ok...so my AWD F-Type R has been consistently reading not quite a half quart low. The car was delivered with about 1/4 quart low. I picked up a quart of the (very expensive) oil from the dealership today. I put was aiming at putting in slightly more than 1/4 quart, but overshot to closer to a half quart. Then checking the (annoying) electronic dipstick, it was reading "overfilled" It must be just barely overfilled. Is this a problem?... Do I need to go purchase somewhere a device that can siphon out a bit of the oil?
Thanks for any advice

If I do decide to suck oil..so to speak...would this be a good product? Would I fit the hose over the tube just inside the oil filler cap?

The hose will be an exact fit. I have the 8 qt version. For an extra $20 you could have an easy-to-use vacuum extractor for future oil changes. Otherwise, you'll need to empty it once or twice during an extraction.

Thanks! I believe it's just barely overfilled, should I extract some anyway? It should only be about 1/4 quart over.

I can't believe that little bit over can possibly matter.

Many here have driven their F-Type R AWD slightly overfilled when the dealer did not adjust for the lesser oil required on the AWD versus the non-AWD. No worse for the wear. But, I would recommend that you suck it out nevertheless as oil levels tend to rise under certain conditions such as hard driving in hot temperature due to the addition of contaminants. Being a 1/4 quart low was perfect! I purchased an 12v Extraction pump from Harbor Freight - I think it cost $15 and came with a small tube extension that is perfect for the Jag.

I would agree 1/4 or 1/2 qt won't matter. My F-type was overfilled by the dealership by quarts, unbeknownst to me. I drove the car for several hundred miles with it overfilled and it didnt kill the motor...yet
