Oil pan drain plug torque spec?
I have a 2014 V8s, and I usually use an extractor to change the oil, but want to do it old school this time. I have a new drain plug ready to go but no torque value. I would think the 24 nm quoted for the V6 here would also apply to the v8, but can anyone confirm?
thanks

The oil pan drain plug has a shoulder (and uses a gasket/o-ring for sealing)
So you can't torque it more, to seal the drain.
I bought a new one 'just in case' for my first oil change, and still haven't used it. (My philosophy is not to replace it unless I see a drip...none seen so far, after 4 oil drains.)
To quote @OzFXR two grunts should do it. Two grunts and a fa*t is too tight!
Oh wait, he uses 'gutentite as his spec, LOL.
Like him, I just snug it real good so 24nm sounds right.
PS: While the extraction method is convenient, emptying the undertray of pebbles and debris reduces weight, and makes the F go faster!
