Default Opinions friends F-Type S - 8cyl.

Have an opportunity to transact the following, recognizing that emotion is playing into this, but seek constructive opinions on the quantitative aspects of this deal, vs. emotion (which it might come down to....but I need to deal with that myself, LOL before my wife shoots me).

Buy new 2015 8cyl. F-type, normal adds, 380 Meridian, etc. etc.,

So...what's the quandary? Get a massive deal (15%+) for it being 2 years out of date ('17s coming out in a couple months) and spend a grand reprogramming it to V8R specs.

Is the model in stock close enough to what you *really* want and the price good enough? If you get it, you might not even need to modify it to R specs. Drive it and see what you'd want to change based on actual experience. It's not like the car is a slug, after all.

Perhaps you could rephrase that.

Absolutely, if the V8 is an "upgrade" for you that would increase your enjoyment of the car, it's a good deal.
