p300 Idle
On cold mornings my P300 has a rough idle after the first 30 seconds when it comes off the 1500rpm and drops down to just over 700rpm... Makes the whole car shake when in drive at the first stop sign and sounds like engine might die. Once the engine starts to warm up in a couple of miles the idle becomes smooth. If I put my foot slightly on the gas and increase the cold idle to 800 rpm it is also smooth. Will be going to the dealer soon and just wondered if anyone has experienced this and I can pass along any thoughts to the dealer. The car runs great on the road and does not seem to have any other performance issues.

Mine does the same thing, it's been doing it since day one since 11 miles and I'm at almost 10k (notice the shaking mostly on cold mornings)
If I let the car warm up before driving for a while it doesn't happen (let it warm up for like 15-20min)

I experienced the same thing when I once tested a P300. Cold start on a chilly March morning and it felt like there was an old diesel four pot under the hood until it warmed up. Such a contrast compared to how the car sounds and feels once it's warm.
Thank you both for the advice... Maybe I'm just being too picky... :-)
Toss the 4 pot and get a 6 or 8, problem solved
. Just kidding, to each their own, that is odd for any engine to do even when cold but if i matches others' experience I wouldn't be concerned.

I had a 2016 V6 before this one and you're right, no idle problem... Liked being pushed back into the seat too on acceleration. Found this one very lightly used and it had all the other features I was looking for so just couldn't resist. The 4 has adequate acceleration and to me the handling is a bit crisper than my V6 was... but that might be the 20 inch wheels verses my other 19 inch wheels... This is my 5th Jaguar sports car starting with a 2001 Roman Bronze XK8... We're all lucky to enjoy the brand and these fine cars... Happy driving...
