How far up and down does the rpm go? Some numbers will be helpful.

Generally, it is not good idea to rev engine without load into red line for any amount of time. Not good, as in "waited too long to change engine oil" level of not good.

I think OP is referring to uneven idle without throttle input.

I re-read OP, and I think you are right. I misread it as "engine shakes when I rev it in neutral'.

To address question, idle should be more or less stable once fully warmed up on any engine. Fluctuating idle is a sign of something not working right, usually vacuum leak somewhere.

Or just an auxiliary jumping in - I.e. fan, AC, ...? After all, in P every few minutes.
Unless you live somewhere where you need to de-ice windows, I see no reason to leave it running in P for minutes.

Tsar,
I can't see the rpm fluctuating, but my idle (P300) sometimes is 'rougher' then my previous cars with a slight shudder. Sometimes it smooth but never silky smooth. P, R or D doesn't really make a difference. Don't know if that's your same experience?
I'm just waiting to reach 3500 miles to go to the dealer and get that first oil out to ask what their thoughts are. I've not driven any other F-type P300 other then mine so I don't have anything to compare to. (yes, no test ride either I buy cars with my heart lol)
Nick

Watch the dealer doesn't fleece you if getting it looked at. My dealer contacted me this evening about my first service for my 2.0. €590 , WHAT, for a oil and filter change, we will see if any updates and check other levels he said, my god what are they thinking, going to a specialists car dealer who does other sports cars, he's doing the service, at half the price, genuine parts and booked stamped so all good for warranty.

Yes, I have, and that variation in rpm is not normal.

I still think it’s a vacuum leak.

Depends on where it is. For example, If it’s a vacuum line that runs underneath the supercharger they’ll have to remove it to get at the offending tube.

I picked up my p300 last month and have experienced the same thing, it only does it sometimes. It doesn't feel normal but I guess it may be.
