Default P7 grill arrived, woo hoo

So my P7 grill arrived, grill and surround going in on Saturday, thanks Unhinged for all the help, don’t want to go through all the past posts on fitting but Unhinged or any other member that has done this
is it just a matter of bolts to take off, I’ve no front sensors so no worries there, any hidden screws or bolts that might be hard to find also do front wheels need to come off to access any, i am going to spray the Aluminium cross bar flat black as seen on other posts , any other bit need spraying, thanks

Simple bolt-on. Will be simplest to just remove the bumper skin to get at all the screws. I believe the cross beam is stamped steel painted in body color. I didn’t have to do anything with the BRG color...looks black behind the grille.

I’m referring to the nosepiece that’s the grille and surround bolt to. https://parts.jaguarreno.com/oem-par...MtMGwtdjYtZ2Fz

I guess you could call it a bumper, but it’s just thick plastic. I would be more apt to call the crossbar (plastic covered styrofoam) a bumper, as that is the purpose that it serves.

Sorry if this is another stupid question, but doesn't removing the bumper effect how the air bags would deploy in a front end collision?

The internal airbags are triggered somewhere else. If you have a European version, there might be something there to trigger pedestrian protection. Disconnect the battery just to be safe.

The foam piece you're removing only exists to support low speed crash regulations (under 3 mph) that state the vehicle must be undamaged during a low speed crash. This foam piece just protects the cross bar from suffering damage; it has nothing to do with the air bag sensors which are not triggered until the force of impact is already into the frame rails of the vehicle; and typically does not occur unless you're traveling over 12 mph.

Forgot to as but will the headlight washer hoses release when the bumpers off or do the washers caps have to be pulled up and released before pulling bumpers off

Don't mess with the pop-up washers. They're very fragile. The rubber hoses are a simple slip fit. Just pull the hoses off the washer nipples to free the bumper skin.
