Paddles have continued to work flawlessly. No issues at all.

Had my shop install these today. Upshift paddle works as expected. Downshift paddle does not. While the upshift side feels like stock, the downshift side no longer has the noticeable click feeling. On my drive home, I could not even tell when I downshifted, unless looking at the gauge cluster. I'm going to have my shop take a look. Hopefully, they can figure something out. Otherwise, back to stock. There simply isn't enough gained to accept losing the feel on downshifts.

Also, as others have stated, there is a deadspot at the very top of each paddle. Not a big deal, as I'm not interested in shifting with my finger barely on the paddle. Just thought I'd share that my findings are similar to others.

Quick update. We pulled the downshift paddle off and made a small adjustment in the pin. There is a spline in the pin that was binding, so we moved the pin out a slight bit. What I mean by "out" is that we moved it in the direction needed to remove it entirely. All better! It was only a few taps and the pin moved enough to free up the motion of the paddle. Very simple. I did not use grease.

Thank you again to Stuart and Velocity AP. He/They were very quick to ship out my order once corrected, and very helpful with advice when needed. So to answer the questions most people seem to have in regard to products. Yes, I would order these again. And yes, I would order from Velocity AP again.

Also, thank you to those who posted pictures and advice here. VERY helpful!!

Drive safe.

Charles

I am late to the party, but I just got around to installing my paddles. One of the paddles worked flawlessly, but I had a small issue with the other one. It would click correctly and return to its normal position, but, if it was purposely pushed toward the front of the car, it would move slightly in that direction and stay there until pulled back to its normal position. I spent quite a while comparing the two paddles, but I couldn't determine the cause. I decided to go MacGyver, however, and raided a larger spring from a ballpoint pen. This fixed the problem by making the paddle travel that extra bit forward when it is released. I put a larger spring in the other paddle too so that the feel would be the same. Very happy with the feel of the paddles with the larger springs. There is a definite, sturdy-feeling, click now.

It's a t20 torx bit, you'll want a small one. Undo and unclip both sides and replace, then test.

Just installed my VAP paddles and there’s an issue with the + side, manufacturing issue of some sort as there’s a 1mm gap and paddle has noticeable free play.

I may have received an early batch ?

Down shift paddle OK no gap or play

Up shift paddle has a gap and play.

Hello All. Thanks to those who waited to receive their paddles. We went through a couple of Beta versions to revise the design and get them working better, and also sourced a stronger spring.

The new version has now shipped for all outstanding orders. If anyone has any outstanding issues with the original design version and would like a replacement we are happy to replace them for you. Please purchase a new set from our website and upon receipt, return your originals for a refund.

Still have some of the black version, they work with a stronger spring fitted - the machining tolerances were just too fine for the tooling available.
