Default Parking Brake Fault?

Hi, guys! So this is a new one.

I have a 15 F-Type & when I went to start it today, a message was being displayed in the driver information center that read “Parking Brake Fault.”

Along with that, the word “Brake” is illuminated in amber & at the top of the driver info. center, the word “Park” is blinking in red.

The car is moving fine, luckily. I’m going to bring it to my local Jaguar mechanic on Monday since they’re closed all weekend. Any thoughts/ideas what this could be?

Thanks!

Could this be yet ANOTHER manifestation of a low-voltage condition?

Put the car on a battery maintainer or drive it 45 - 60 minutes in one trip. Then, disconnect the battery ground cable in the trunk for 15 minutes, reconnect, reset the auto-up windows, and see if that resolves your issue.

<--- indicates that if it works, the issue is being punted down the road....you may need to start shopping for a battery. How old is yours?

Have you tried "setting" the parking brake to see if it actually works?
Might be worth setting and cancelling a few times to see what happens.
Kind of a brake reboot!!!
