Parking Brake Fault
Another interesting quick fix today. (fingers crossed)
My parking brake has been malfunctioning for a month now. Meaning, if I manually set it, there would be a loud thump from the rear and the amber warning light/message would pop up. Likewise, when I turn off the car, the brake would not automatically set. I tried replacing the fuse, but that didn't work. Then the holidays came and I got sidetracked. Today, I finally decided to try something else. I accessed the parking brake control module against the right side inner wall of the trunk. I unplugged both connections, waited, then plugged them back in. Voila! The parking brake is working again! We'll see how long it holds, but I'm well pleased today.

I had the Parking Brake Fault message also, I corrected it by doing a battery disconect and it has been two months now and still working. By unplugging the connections at the module you did the same thing.
