Default Passanger door lock

Hi All,

Just bought a 2014 v8 S, the only nice car i've owned, very pleased so far. However took someone for a ride and then the passanger side door would not open. Was amusing to watch them having to climb out the drivers side, though my poor seats.

So the door lock light will not switch off. either by pressing the internal button or the key fob. Drivers side is fine. The door latch extends ok, and pulling it i can hear some actuator moving, but the light stays on and the door will not unlock. I can find a few issues with other models, but nothing on line regarding this issue with the f-type.

Sounds like something has come loose in the door.

+1. Someone else on this forum noted a similar problem and a door mechanism required replacement. However, before taking it in for repair, try rebooting all the computer modules by disconnecting the battery for about 15 seconds.
