Default Passive locking

Just picked up a 17' F-Type R for the wifes birthday yesterday. She loves it! Quick question, when you exit the car and walk away do the door handles lock and fold in automatically or do you physically have to lock with the little button on the handle or with the remote?
Thanks

Just push the handle in to lock, you don't have to push the little button, that's just for unlocking.

As noted above, plus this: if you unlock but never open a door, it'll relock after some relatively short time (a few minutes?).

Further clarification: you don’t need to push the handle in all the way, you just need to put a little bit of pressure on it.

My copy of the Owner's Manual says 40 seconds.

Hey everyone,
So for anyone who’s curious, the dealership checked out all the connections and have decided that the problem is a bad door handle. They have ordered one from the UK and I’ll get it replaced next month. Hopefully it fixes the issue.

Glad they got a handle on things...

Two months into ownership, just learnt something new. Thanks lol.

I read the manual as well... clearly my comprehension has some issues. It was a fairly dry read mind.
