Default Pic Request - oe carbon fender + hood vents

Hi guys

Gearing up to do a full paint correction on my car, and thinking of using the opportunity to change things up a little - that is replacing the black fender + hood vents with the oe carbon versions

I can't seem to find any decent pics online, let alone on grey/dark coloured cars

I have the matte carbon interior trim, and with the ceramics it would all gel together i think

Please post up what you have

I have a 2016 Storm Grey R with the full CF treatment. It looks great. I will try to snap a few pics for you later today and post them for you.

Installed cf hood side and mirror caps. Be aware that cf hood vents offer nearly zero venting. I drilled some extra holes through the honeycomb but nowhere near the heat escape of the standard 2016 hoof vents. Lots of bucks for little heat extraction!

Here is a pic for you. Had to take it in the garage because it's been raining for 2 days. I will try to get an outdoor shot when it clears up.

The contrast between the paint and CF is a little high in the shot because I had to use a flash. Otherwise, it's a very subtle compliment to the Grey which is what I like. It really looks like it belongs on the car rather than being a tacky a afterthought.

One thing to consider with the side fender CF trim - the Jaguar lettering stands out in chrome whereas the black pack pieces are totally black, a more stealth look.

I won't say that the lettering "stands out", as they are rather small and don't do much of them self as can be seen here:

CF side vent and mirrors on Storm Grey... Subtle compliment. The lettering on the side vent while visible is not overstated.

I like it! I think it can be a bit garish with other colors.

Yes I have them on my car too - i don't find them too obtrusive but generally think there is enough badging (Jaguar / F Type) on the car already and would have preferred not to add even more. I prefer a cleaner look.

appreciate the pics guys

i think the carbon side vents work better than the hood, but overall i'm just not convinced they look better than the oe gloss black vents, especially on my particular color combo

for anyone watching this thread, i found these guys are selling them very cheap
