Strange things can happen with weather conditions at high elevations, and the 30th-tallest peak in Colorado stands at a mighty 14,115 feet tall. When an ordinary June thundershower moved in, Colorado Springs got some rain… and, in the early afternoon of race day, the upper reaches of the Pikes Peak course were buried in snow and hail so deep that only four-wheel-drive trucks could slog to the summit. The PPIHC officials opted to shorten the course once the storm passed, having the remaining racers climb up to Glen Cove. This means that there are no official results yet, and those listed here as winners might not stay that way; you'll need to check the PPIHC results page later to get the final word on certified, 200-proof winners.
Justin finished 20th overall in the provisional results.

As a result of moving the finish line, there were a series of errors where Justin Bell in a Lexus was given 3rd place in time attack 1 instead of 5th. After a full review of the times, the organisers have now issued the official results, with Justin Law correctly placed 3rd in class.
This article stated the F type was nearly stock except for wheels, cage, stripped interior and aero.
Also impressive was that the driver had never competed in Pikes Peak before.
Interesting background for those not familiar with Don Law Racing and his XJ220 business including a Ford Transit parts delivery van powered by an XJ220 engine.

Wonder if that's the one that Top Gear used to beat the Aussies.
