Default Pin striping an F-Type?

Maybe I have missed it in an earlier thread, but has anyone done any pin striping on their F-Type? I am considering adding something very subtle that would only be seen at close range, almost like "Ghost striping".

Personally I think pin-striping should be reserved for classic cars and cruiser bikes, and not an exotic car, but to each his own.

I like the offset stripe on the hood that I've see on some f types, not really pinstriping though. Where/what type of pinstriping?

The XKR had some striping available for some models. Some at the bottom of the door, and this https://i2.wp.com/www.carsuk.net/wp-...size=350%2C200

It would have to be very subtle not to ruin the lines of the car, I suppose.

That XKR type is differently too much. I am thinking something much more subtle. Something that would follow the lines and only be noticed when being closely observed.
As I said, subtle.

A really beautiful successful (and usually timeless) design is when adding something or taking something away makes it less successful and not better. The f type is a difficult challenge. The changes I've liked the best were taking things away (like overbadging). Lowering the car improves the look. The all silvered-out car one of the members here had was very elegant (removed color contrast of brake calipers, body trim, etc). Trying to imagine the ghost pinstriping and how it could improve the look. Definitely an interesting challenge...

Up State NY, could you please supply a reference to the "all silvered out car." I have an iridium silver vert and have the chrome bonnet trim pieces and I would like to see what the car looks like with additional chrome/silver trim.

That's more like highway divider striping.

While I like the concept of ghost pin-striping I personally think that the stunning lines of our cars cannot be improved in any way shape or form. Certainly not by any pin-striping.

Of course I might be wrong. (But I doubt it).

I would leave the pinstripes for car the cars that need them...the F-Type is perfect just the way it is.

May need to retract; not finding the image I am recalling.

I'm afraid that the side sills fit into the same category.

Nothing pin about that. Technically referred to as Racing or LeMans Stripes. Much better suited to the F-Type, but only for a fully prepped race car:

I gotta get me one of them!

Not to call him out but I believe brother Prophizee has pin strips, very subtle looks pretty good.

Thanks for finding something like I was recalling. I don't think this looks that bad. I prefer the more understated look but always open to seeing what others may like.

I'm with Lance on this. Other than the paint job and decals, the engine, brakes, fuel tank, rear wing, and probably about 1,000 other parts, this looks exactly - particularly the suspension - like Unhingd's V6S!
