Default Plastic Scratch Remover/Polish

FWIW. I had some annoying hairline scratches on the display between the speedo and tach and first tried Meguiars Plastx. I was not pleased with the results so decided to give Mothers Plastic Polish a go. Results were fantastic--scratches gone, so I did the headlights and black trim on the outside mirrors with comparable results. Product leaves a very smooth, scratch free surface.

THANK YOU!

With the coming of Spring (and top-down weather) I've noticed slight abrasions/scratches in our center display panel (a legacy of the P.O.).

Any tips on procedures (as in, the best way to clean the edges)? I'm assuming you 'Used As Directed' on the bottle.

Being quite aware of how polishes and such can permanently stain plastic, I first completely taped all the surfaces surrounding the display with blue painter's tape. I then followed the directions on the bottle. It did take several applications and a bit of elbow (finger) grease but the results were well worth the effort.
If you proceed, please post your results; I'd be curious.

I've always used mirror glaze now Meguiars Mirror Glaze. 2 steps : cleaner then polish. Practice on larger area before using in tight space. Cheap on Amazon.

I'd love to see the results for your headlights; I've got some flaws that "look" like they are scratches, but I can't feel anything passing over them with a fingernail. My fear is that they're actually stress cracks from some kind of incident that didn't show up on my Carfax.

This is the best I could do and there isn't much to see because there are no flaws remaining. In the interest of full disclosure the car only has 6K miles on it and the headlights exhibited but minor road rash.
