That's great Zach. I hope both of our winters are short so we can get driving ASAP.

My car finally was delivered yesterday. Could not be happier. I just can't stop staring or just sitting in her.

My wife keeps coming down to the garage to make sure I'm alright, and of course then turns and walks away all the while rolling her eye's.

She asked me to start her up so she could hear the engine...I blipped the throttle and it made her scream in terror..."WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT....TURN IT OFF IT"S TOO LOUD"

I'm glad you're pleased Zach. You gotta love it when they scream!! I get the eye roll on a regular basis too. Let's hope both our winters end up short. I only got a couple of months with mine before bedtime... 2000 km
Congratulations again.

That all too common spousal eye roll is a burden that us married car enthusiasts have to endure all too often.

We'll need a new picture of your stable, with the Jag in its place. What else are you going to do in the winter but take pictures?

1. Love your collection. That room is my definition of heaven. Its like a movie set. Can't say I'm not jealous lol.

2. Those toyota's look awesome. Thought they were old army jeeps (my neighbor has a fully restored WWII Command car that we have fun in a lot) at first.

Give me that room, a fridge and bar, a popup hot tub and a 70" 4k drop down tv with netflix and ill be happy with life.

Zach,
Fabulous collection. Seems we have similar taste in vehicles. Love my FJ40 and JCW. Regret selling my Tiger. (Making up for it by buying another cat)

I am jealous also...of the cars and the garage. It is one thing to own those beautiful autos but quite another to have such an exquisite place to store them and show them. Do you keep them all to yourself or do you allow people in occasionally to view?

When I picked up my car this month there was a red E type for sale on the showroom floor. It was in mint condition and I must admit I was tempted...

I got a recall notice on this which said I could take it back to dealer and fix would take 1 hour. Did you ever find out why it took them 4 weeks at the port to do it.

Great looking car.

Are you suggesting that different or additional colors to those offered in the 2016 configurator might be available?

Default Yep.

Yes. The UK 2016 manual shows Salsa Red being dropped May 2015 and then Caldera Red being the non-metallic red from June 2015 on. JLR were using this new colour in the Nov 2016 press material on a roadster as well. A Google search shows a few pics of the colour.

I still need confirmation and hope to get that soon when the new configurator for Canada is up. I hope that the Detroit Auto show also addresses this switch.

I started a thread on this already, but tried and couldn't link to it. I'll bump it.

Selling the tiger was a mistake, it's one of my favourite cars. It's amazing how many people are floored by the V8 and the throaty exhaust note. It's just a great analog car.

I let just about anyone who wants to visit, I have actually had people drive 4 hours just to come and sit in my GT and McLaren and have their picture taken.

As for the E Type they are great cars but do require a lot of upkeep. Mine was a complete frame off restoration and admittedly one of the most beautiful cars ever built. I can sit for hours just looking at it.

Great looking car.
I spent many hours on the phone with JLR and the only explanation they would offer was that in order to clear the recall, which was the seat belt sensor. They are required to clear the recall before the car can be shipped to the dealer, and a delay of 21 days is reasonable (in their opinion) to perform the procedure.

I complained that the dealer could have cleared the recall in less than a day, but they would just say that they were required to clear the recall before shipping .
