The deposit date was 23rd July.

The dealer searched to see there was anything in production that could be modified to fit my specific requirements, and reported back that there was not.

So my order went in probably the 1st or 2nd of August.

Last change date was 9th September.

Requested delivery date was ... TODAY ... 7th November 2014.

As of 2 months ago (3rd September 2014), the dealer thought it would beat the delivery date by at least a week, which meant I would have it last week of October.

I'll find out the actual build date in the next day or so and will post it back. I never got it from the dealer....

Got my LINER RELEASE on the 7th, but the dealer update shows not here until the 20th. And I was expecting it on Friday the 14th... another week.... UGH

Enjoy and make sure to post photos!
I would have agreed with you back when I was waiting.
But a few weeks after the wait is over and delivery done, I've started to look back at that period and I think it had actually been a very nice experience.

Am I odd?

Anticipation? Thanks for making me wait? Yes, It is the best part. Okay, not the best, but is to be enjoyed.

Without that, what matters? Instant gratification. Not so great.

Posting on Jaguarforum while waiting...good times!

I'm a institutional commodity broker and thrive on instant gratification - even though most of my clients are hedgers (as opposed to specs) - and while I originally anticipated ordering my F-Type V6S to my specifications I fell too deeply in lust in what the dealer had (close to what I wanted; with a few more than I wanted options) and with a great deal...BAM! It was a done deal.

Good Stuff RickyJay! We're a long only institutional money manager. Typical holding time is 2-3 years. If you can believe it, sometimes a name actually goes down after we buy it. Oh the pain.

Geez, that took forever, but she is at the dealer right now.

Order date was July 23rd, so we're looking at just under 4 months order to delivery.

I pick her up tomorrow. :-)

So the car left the ship on 11/7 but did not arrive at the dealer until 11/20? My car arrives in port on 12/1 and I am trying to determine when it may arrive at the dealer. The dealer shows they will receive it 12/17 but that is over 2 weeks after arriving in port and the dealer is only 3 hours from the port.

My car was release from W & W on the 5th and still has not arrived at the dealer. System says will arrive today the 21st.

I am getting nervous as to why it is taking so long. Everyday the weather just gets worse, but there is a warm-up for a few days starting Sunday so hoping for delivery on Monday or Tuesday.

Try lhf.com with your VIN. A long shot, but hey ......

Oh well. They used to deliver the car from the train to the dealer (maybe still do) for BMW in Ontario. Worth the try....
