Default Power steering problem

I recently got back from a trip and I came back to notice that my battery was dead. I now got a new problem in my car that doesn’t allow me to turn the steering wheel. . when I move it, it barely moves, and I have to use a lot of. i’m thinking an animal might’ve chewed the wire . I got a new battery and it didn’t fix the problem. Is there anything that I gotta do or where do I have to check first I heard something about an EMS system.

Maybe the fuse is fried (?) .

Low PS fluid? Good belt on the pulley?

Just things I would check immediately.

Early F-types had hydraulic PAS (Power Assisted Steering). Later years got electric PAS.
@soulsw1pa Is there a power steering fluid reservoir at the left-front of the engine bay?

You might notice, I didn't offer any W.A.G.s until this question is answered....
