Price speculation on 2016 models
My wife is actually a really good sport. I dragged her across England last year while I toured Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren. She never once complained and in return I only had to spend one day at Harrods and Bicester Village. Luckily she did not find to much to her liking , except for the $100 manicure at Harrods.
Zach, consider yourself a lucky man with a very loving wife..!
I'd like to think that [the] new car depreciation isn't accelerated by 2016 price adjustments. I'd like to think I still got a great deal on my 2015 V6S regardless of what's to come. It's a done deal - and, yes, I did get a great deal (so no buyers remorse whatsoever from me) - just would like to maintain as much value as possible. As much as possible from a, any, new car.....
With strong dollar price won't go up, but it also won't go down. They will probably repackage to the level cars are actually selling. Maybe a few less choices. Only base car could somehow be decontented . Maserati did this on the Ghibli for '15, bunching options together and changing the standard equipment, but totally base car stayed the same.
The Stingray had a price increase mid way through their first model year. This was still as dealers were putting a "market adjustment" on top of the MSRP. Now I'm getting emails from a local dealer that is trying to get rid of the MY14 stock for thousands less. The same dealer that bought a used stingray from a customer for more than its original MSRP.
They received an additional $15k off the msrp if they bought a new vehicle.
