Default Jaguar cuts 2016 prices

Jaguar cuts 2016 prices to hit luxury sweet spot

XF down about 9%
XJ added about 10% of options into the base config
XE will start at $35,885
No pricing released on F-Pace

No mention in the article about the F-Type

I can fully understand that, especially with the XE needing to be priced competitively and frankly, the others mentioned are selling poorly.

Lowering the price on the F-Type, especially the base car seems anti-productive to me...

It's mentioned that for the F-Type, they're giving extra features and perks standard, like the 770w Meridian system, panoramic roof, and 5 year maintenance. So not a price cut, but better value.

Looks like they started the prices changes with the F-Type. The changes mentioned were what they did from the 2015 to the 2016 model.

Better value if you want the Meridian and panoramic roof (I didn't).

The F-Type is a beautiful car, and I agonized on trading from the 15 S to the 16 and said between depreciation of the 15 and the price of the 16..., hands down no brainer to enjoy my 15....and that I do.

I've put down a deposit on an s manual coupe; the build starts soon they tell me. Any idea what this means for me? Should my total price come down? Only if I have the sound system and the roof in my build?

No:

"The F-Type coupe and convertible base prices stay the same, but Jag is adding up to $12,000 in standard equipment."

So since the 2016's have been out for awhile now, how that will affect customer cars on order and cars on the lots would have to see big discounts. It doesn't make but, it would be great for me, since I haven't ordered yet. I will believe this when I see it. The website would have to be updated soon to reflect the additional $12,000 of standard equipment one would think.

I really think this was ALREADY DONE for the F-Types and it's now just rolling out to the other models. The 770 Merian system, the Pano Roof, and some other features became standard for the 2016s. I don't think anything else is changing for the F-Type.

Yeah looks like it. I just dug out the full option list to be sure and, for a car ordered in June, Meridian sound and pano roof are already on the standard included list.

As TxJagR said, there's no doubt about it. It happened on the F-Type at the intro of the '16 models last spring. The same prices remain in effect now as when they were announced last March.

On my MY16, the only option I got was the Premium + Vision Pack.

However, my car also has: pano roof, 770w Meridian, Jaguar InControl Apps, Jaguar Remote App (remote start HVAC, trip logging, etc.) with 5 year subscription, and 5 year maintenance plan.

Other items that I'm not sure were standard in 2015 S that are on my 2016: HD radio, Sirius XM, metal pedals, selectable active exhaust, configurable dynamic mode, and power tailgate.

Yeah the 2016 F-Types added several standard options over the 2015 models, plus the 5 year maintenance and warranty. It's clear that the additional standard options are already in place for them. You shouldn't expect to see any additional discounts.

I don't believe the XF is a better deal if you have the supercharged model. The new S version gets into the mid 70''s for less straightline performance. Maybe it's a better car overall but not cheaper, unless I'm missing something.

The F-type is something that Jaguar won't cut down on pricing, I believe. The car is get lot of attention from the media and when on the road, it's almost like a halo car.
