Default Prices go UP?!?!?

I periodically build out my next Jag...a F- Type V6 S AWD fully loaded... I used to be able to get it for about 92k...which I thought... hmmmmm.... thats almost as much at the original F-Type R. Tonight I built a 2017 F-Type V6 S AWD and fully loaded it got over 105k!! WHAT THE HECK!!

Apples to oranges. That $92k would buy you a loaded RWD S. AWD adds $ and a lot of weight (and that SUV feel we're all striving for)

Just joking...just joking!

FWIW when I was looking at buying my F-Type, I looked at an S and optioned out it was SO close to the R, I went for the R for the extra performance.

There were some problems with the configurator. It kept adding the carbon fiber roof, or the red interior. Look closely at the summary.

Same for me. I think I made the right call.

Prices have gone up, and there are problems with the online configurator adding expensive stuff like the carbon roof for no reason (and the black pack has totally disappeared for the 'R' coupe...)

For some reason, the RWD V6 British Edition comes out looking like it almost might be 'a deal' compared to building one from scratch. Might be the same for the V6 AWD? And ULTRA BLUE....

Never even thought a second about any of the other models.

The '16 was cheaper than my '14 SV6 conv. and the '17 is more expensive. You would think with strong dollar and weak pound prices would stay the same, but european cars keep going up.

That thing sucks on the consumer facing side, and I've seen the sales rep's side at the dealer, that has a bit more of a back end and pricing, etc.... it also sucks.

3 or 4 times I had to vet my order because each time some random thing would be kicked off or not compatible. It's still pretty amazing to get such a highly customized car, but really that process was absolutely and completely miserable.
