Default Problem with text messages and voice from phone via bluetooth

My brand new F-Type is giving me one small problem. When my phone is connected, the car doesn't read my text messages. The same phone works fine in all my other cars. Also, if I press the button on the phone to give voice commands, the phone never hears me.

Anyone else have this issue?

I can't be sure but I don't think I get text notification via bluetooth either. I'll try to confirm later.

Are you talking about Windows Phone features? If so, you *must* use the "alternate Bluetooth audio connection for Speech" option under Advanced in the Bluetooth settings in order for speech over Bluetooth to work in our Jaguars.

I can confirm that once you get it to work, it works well.

All of my cars (Ford, Audi, MB) except the Jaguar will do this. You will notice on the bluetooth settings screen of your iPhone there will be a "Show Notifications" option for cars that have the capability. In the Jag it is not present.

If your Ford does it, your Jaguar should too.

RE: iPhone 5S - I do not have a Show Notifications option showing. I looked in Settings under Bluetooth. Nothing like that on the screen.

My Ford had SYNC. And, as I mentioned, the Jag does not have it.
