Trying to program my New BCM. It goes through and is successful first security Identifier. Then it fails on second security Identifier. My car had flood damage and has several failed modules and several used modules. In order to program this what modules need to be functioning. Which ones can be used and which need to be new. I am also trying to program my kvm. It fails with similar issues. I will buy new modules that need to be new, but if I can buy most used that don't matter then I would prefer to save the money.

2017 ftype. I am using SDD ant the JCI tool and have proper voltage.

 

What year is your F-Type - you're on SDD so I presume its pre 18MY

What modules USED have you fitted, a lot of modules now cant be swapped from vehicle to vehicle? Do you know what year F-Type the USED ones came out of, etc?

Also - when you look on the main home screen, any modules not communicating??

 

Its a 2017. I have replaced. Gwm. Used. And new I have replaced. Bcm and kvw. I have several dead modules still. Not sure what can be bought used and what has to be new. I am getting used module that are only out of similar year f type. I have several modules that aren't responding. But until I know what has to be bought new and what can be used I am at a standstill.

 

Im pretty sure the GWM has the VIN written to it for security, but I would assume you'd get a VIN mismatch error message or something along those lines. The BCM and KVM definitely have to be new.

What other modules aren't communicating - are you able to take a screen shot of the home screen from SDD showing all the modules?

 

 

Just for reference, a BCM and KVM doesn't have to be new. You can read the dump and load virgin data onto both modules.

 

Never solved this does anyone have any idea?
