Question for car audio experts ...
Hi guys,
is it possible to have an audio equalizer added to the stock head unit. I'm lucky because my stereo has ZERO problems with buzzing or rattling but I think the midrange level is too high. I'd like to lower the midrange with an equalizer .
Can this be done?
Thank you

I believe this will do what you want, i've been trying to find an excuse to try one out...

Hi Cambo, thanks for the reply but what the heck is that. I looked at the link page and scratched my head. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it.

Ubad, the connection between the head unit in the dash and the amp behind the seats is all digital, so you can't use an old-fashioned equalizer, which worked with preamp- (or speaker-) level analog signals. This does the equalization (and other stuff, I'm sure) in the digital domain.
Hmm, the mObridge docs say that the DA3 processor 'replaces' the factory amp. Sort of true - the DA3 has analog preamp outputs, so you need an analog amp, instead of the factory digital amp.
Still, looks pretty slick.
