So in the process of changing out rear rotors and pads, I reached out on the forum and was supplied this brake caliper torque chart.
Only problem is, brake caliper retaining bolt torque is not correct. When I torqued down the bolts on one side everything was fine and they made it to 43ft lbs. while i was doing the other side bolt one went in ok at 43ft lb but the second one kept on turning past the point where I expected a click on the torque wrench. I got concerned, stopped, and backed the bolt out to find that it was starting to narrow in the center of the threads indicating it was getting ready to snap.
I went to jaguar and picked up a "$19.00" replacement bolt and asked to confirmed the proper torque value. They pulled the diagram directly from Topix which show the torque value at 35nm or 25.8ft lbs. He said this was the latest data received directly from jaguar. I showed him the above chart sent to me which came from Mitchell. He looked at another location in their shop manual and saw where it also said 43ft lbs. He said that the torque value must have been changed due to possible bolt failure issues just I was having. Below is a pic of the dealer screen. The other torque values in the chart are still accurate.
I did mine so long ago that I don't remember what torque spec I used. There is a note at the bottom of that screenshot to discard the seal and bolts. Do they call for new bolts every time?

Probably ok for the bolts, just make sure seals are not damaged, Thats common for alot of bolts on jag. Not reusing those will add $80.00+ to your rear brake job at $19.00 each bolt and who knows what they charge for the seals. I reused everything that except that one bolt. Some of the online Jag dealers had the bolt for $6.55 but then they make up for that with an $18.69 shipping charge for 1 bolt, total BS. Four bolts and four seals $102.05 from Cary Jaguar in NC. If you had to build your F-Type from the parts department it would probably cost you about $5,000,000. Be thankful we can get the rotors in the aftermarket, two would set you back a little over $1000.00, $104.00 each from Autozone. The Carbon Ceramic Rotors from Cary Jaguar are mere $18,000.00 for two rears.
