Knock on wood I have not had this problem with mine, but it really is crazy that there is so much work involved with fixing something dumb like that. Wow, that really is bad design.

These are the types of things that you ideally avoid having the dealer do if at all possible. Classic scenario that I've had over the years. You take it in to fix one thing like this and they create other problems (that may or may not be fixed to your satisfaction in the end). If it is at all invasive my experience has shown that this is where this type of thing CAN often lead. Remember, these Jag dealerships half the time literally don't even know how to properly do an oil change on these cars. Like, literally.

I personally would definitely go the reasonable/sensible DIY route on something like this for sure. Take my time, have a plan, execute a clean job on it, etc...Warranty or no warranty.

A question I would have is, is it inevitable that this will happen? Is the cause understood? Bad run of glue? Bad run of installation on the line? Both? These are the types of questions that go through my head. If there is not some sort of updated part being used then what would make sure it doesn't just happen again? At 1500 bucks for a part this is a fair question ;-0

Stupid that Jaguar couldn't make it with clips like any other car manufacturer could.

The trim was replaced and looks fine however they misaligned the side rear fascia glass so it wasn't flush with the driver side window, see below photos. Not only looked odd but it created wind noise so I had to take it back but today they fixed it all well and good thankfully.

Not for the OCD for sure...lol

Default Fixed under warranty, at last.

Finally got fixed under Jaguar warranty. It took six months or so to get it done! Hopefully these ones will stay stuck down 🤞
