I want to wire in a sub and need to access the speaker level outputs. I was able to remove most of the trim without too much difficulty but the back one under the parcel shelf is giving me issues. I tried pulling but I feel like I'm going to break it. Is there a trick to gain access to the speaker level wires from the trunk?
Hi, I believe there are some fasteners under the plastic parcel shelf. Removing the parcel shelf looks a fair bit of work. If you undid the bolt holding the black amplifier could you pull this out and get to the speaker connectors at the amp?
Ok that didn't work ... looks like I can't unbolt the amp from the bracket and slide it out. Probably harnessing that's blocking egress. The bracket is also held in place by some fasteners behind the trim.
You leave that piece in place. Move the parcel shelf forward as they are held on with just press clips now. The wiring harness is just under that on the rhs side of your photo and you can wire tap there
Project is done! I did have to remove the parcel shelf to gain access to the wiring harness. Used Positaps like others and she bumps! I screw velcro to the feet and it holds fairly well. Will need to think of a better mounting solution, but that's for next weekend. Thanks all for the help!
