Default Resource for production numbers...

Is there an online resource for the actual production numbers for the F-Type. Interested to know how many of each model were produced each year. Tried searching came up with nothing, if I failed and its here somewhere I apologize in advance.

You haven't missed it. I've never seen any such info anywhere, only units sold in the U.S., but even those numbers aren't broken down by model type.

And I wish there was... I'm willing to bet I've got one of the first 5 or 10 AWD cars built period. I'd love to have that information.

The best I could ever find. Only has US and Canada sales and not broken down by model trim.

This is about as close as I can come to a "non" answer... LOL

Jaguar Land Rover has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Motors since 2008, when the latter acquired it from Ford.[4] It sold a total of 462,678 vehicles during 2014, comprising 381,108 Land Rover vehicles and 81,570 Jaguar vehiclesIn the year ended 31 March 2013, Jaguar Land Rover sold a total of 374,636 units, of which 316,043 were Land Rovers and 58,593 were Jaguars.

It's not rare, their building as many as they can turn out.

Rarity is relative. Also, it depends quite a bit on geography and model. Based on these forums, my suspicion is that there are far more of them in LA and the Bay Area than in other less wealthy parts of the country and world.

I know in Atlanta I've seen two other F-Types ever. Never seen another R in the wild (though I know based on the forums they exist!).

That's not true. If they were building as many as they could Jaguar wouldn't be struggling. It's an expensive car and is to a point rare. But certainly not a limited production car.

Maryland is the richest state in the U.S., and while there are BMWs, MBs, Porsches, and LRs everywhere you look, I've still only seen one F-Type in the wild. Jaguar just doesn't have a very good reputation in these parts.

Per my salesperson the dealer has sold at least 34 of them in the DFW area (and there are 3 dealers in the Metro area) Including mine, I have personally seen 4 others on the streets... (and I drive a LOT) The rest must be hiding in garages or have been shipped to or bought for out of the metro area...

+1, though I've seen 2 or 3 not counting the ones at our impromptu gathering in PA.

I'm not being disparaging in any way, it looks like they are selling around 400/month in the USA which is a good thing for Jaguar. Compared to BMW's and Mercedes, Jaguars in general is rare. BMW's and Mercedes are like tattoos, trendy and everyone seems to have one.

"Rarity" being what it is... The "R" is rare by my standards, my last car was a Mustang LOL.

Yes, these numbers have been available, but I think many have been wanting to see a breakdown between coupe, convertible, base, V6S, R, AWD v. RWD, etc.

+1. I haven't seen any since our meetup in PA except for a 15S trade in at Aston Martin in Summit NJ (msrp$91000 asking $65700).

I like the fact that they are not ubiquitous like the other luxury brands but their initial large depreciation is a concern.

While I was tracking my car's voyage, I was able to check on some other ships, and tracked 491 F-Types to Canada and the US. This is just a snapshot, in the November/December time frame.
Base Coupe Auto = 81
S Coupe Auto = 37
Base Conv Auto = 57
S Conv Auto = 24
Project 7 = 8
Base Coupe Manual = 8
S Coupe Manual = 6
Base Conv Manual = 9
S Conv Manual = 5
S Coupe AWD = 54
R Coupe AWD = 115
S Conv AWD = 28
R Conv AWD = 59

So, of these 491 cars, Base = 32%, S = 31%, R + 7 = 37%.
And, Manual = 6%, Auto RWD = 42%, AWD = 52%.

Interesting that base, S, and R+7 look so even there. A few dealers I've talked to have mentioned that they sell a few base and S models for every R.

Jag hasn't quite made their target of 10% manuals here in the U.S. I wonder if other markets are picking up the slack.
