I am assuming you mean in an F Type. If so, engine oil is supposed to meet JLR specifications, STJLR.03.5004. Only a few engine oil brands make a version that meet these specifications and it will be on the label. I have no idea why JLR products needs these specifications or if it makes any difference. I buy oil that meets STJLR.03.5004 since that is what is recommended.

I have no idea why JLR products needs these specifications or if it makes any difference.
The JLR spec is for a low-viscosity oil that provides rapid initial cold pumping and better fuel economy. Their specification also assures wear protection at high RPM for timing chains and valve components.

The Red Line is Dexos1Gen2 which is a benefit (reduces LSPI or Low Speed Pre Ignition, a common characteristic of GDI engines).

+++++++++++++

I suspect that Red Line doesn't choose to pay for manufacturers' certifications, but you don't know for sure, do you?

If you are willing to spring for that fairly expensive Royal Purple you should instead go for a 0W-20 ILSAC GF-6A oil, the RP you show is only GF-5.
Plenty of info on the web and some on this forum about the newish ILSAC GF-6A (you don't want 6B which is ultra low viscosity 0W-16 meant for hybrid engines).
Judging from the info on the web the problematic timing chains on our AJ133 and AJ126 engines will benefit from using ILSAC GF-6A oil.

I asked as a local dealer has it for $35 for 5l
I'm getting ready for my first oil change, What are the common oils which members here use?.
I imagine most of the research has been done by 6 years of F type forum users already, and oil selection is not my knowledge base, other than wrong oil can be bad!.
I change mine every 3000 miles so im not looking for the high price champagne of oil
